How To Determine the Bus Plug You Need

The fastest way to determine an existing Bus Plug is through the bus plug Catalog Number (or part number) found on the nameplate.

If nameplate data is faded or unavailable, (older nameplates are notorious for having time worn nameplate data) the Manufacturer’s Name, Type (Ex. TAP, XLVB), Ampere Rating, Voltage Rating, 3 or 4 Wire and Fusible or Breaker Type of the existing bus plug would be key factors in determining a suitable bus plug replacement.

Still need help?

Any information you can provide as to what the existing bus plug is would be helpful in determining a proper bus plug replacement. A picture of the bus plug is always helpful.

Send your picture and/or identifying information to techsupport@swgr.com. Please remember to provide your name, company name and phone number in the email.
