How To Determine the Switch You Need

The fastest way to determine an existing switch is through the switch Catalog Number (or part number) found on the nameplate.

If nameplate data is faded or unavailable, (older nameplates are notorious for having time worn nameplate data) the Ampere Rating, Voltage Rating, Fusible or Non-Fusible, and Enclosure Type of the existing Switch would be key factors in determining a suitable switch replacement.
